ForWineLovers.com is a subsidiary of the International House of Wine and Cheese, located just north of Chicago, Illinois. This year we celebrate our 33rd year in business. Our goal at ForWineLovers.com is to meet all of our customers’ wine needs. From the allocated and hard to find wines to the affordable everyday drinking wine, our objective is to be “Different and Better.”
The concept of D & B, “Different & Better,” has been the company’s mission statement for the past 31 years. Adhering to this concept of being “Different & Better” than our competition assures our stature as a leader in the industry because it causes us to be proactive instead of reactive. Our longevity and success in the fine wine business can be directly attributed to this concept.
As the proprietor, I have spent my entire career in the wine business. I have had the good fortune to visit wineries all over the world, California, Oregon, Washington, France, Italy, Germany, Spain, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, and Chile. During my travels, I have met winery owners, winemakers and sales managers. Consequently, I have been able to develop friendships and long lasting relationships with these wineries. This experience gives ForWineLovers.com the ability to hand pick great wines and offer special releases, all at extremely reasonable prices.
My father, Mike, started the International House of Wine and Cheese in 1976. Under his leadership and my passion for wine, the business has grown exponetionally over the years and become one of the finest wine shops in the Chicago land area. Mike retired in 1990 with over 40 years in the food and retail industry. I am proud to be the sole proprietor and have hand chosen a staff to carry the business into the 21st century offering great product and excellent service.
